Welcome Onigilly to MCM

Posted on by Mission Community Market in Blog, Onigilly | Leave a comment

This week we welcome the Onigilly food cart to Bartlett Street!

Onigilly sells onigiri, a staple of the modern Japanese diet. You might be surprised to learn that these bite-sized meals made of brown rice and gourmet fillings wrapped in seaweed are actually more common in Japan than sushi! In 2007, Koji, the founder of Onigilly, participated in the La Cocina food entrepeneur incubation program, and with their help he was able to start his business providing fresh, delicious food to San Francisco. Chef Adachi Hiroyuki prepares everything from scratch daily, using only the most delicious and healthy ingredients. These bite-sized morsels are perfect for a full meal or a snack, so plan to head down to MCM this week and grab a few!
