Commonwealth restaurant will donate $10 to the Mission Community Market for the sale of each tasting menu purchased throughout September. Well, we’re pairing up with Commonwealth in another delicious way this month–the Chef’s Market Box!

Our Chef’s Market Box is more than a CSA–it’s a set of ingredients sourced from MCM’s vendors, perfectly portioned to create a recipe designed by a local culinary rock star. The market boxes are sold in partnership with Good Eggs.

Chef Jason Fox of Commonwealth has created an exclusive recipe that truly celebrates what’s in season. This market box contains all the farm-fresh ingredients you’ll need to create a chilled pepper soup, beet and spinach salad, and early girl tomato bruchetta. Order today and it will be ready for pickup or delivery on Thursday, September 27th.

This week, you’ll be cooking a recipe from Lauren Kiino, the Executive Chef and Owner of Il Cane Rosso who was also Delfina‘s Chef de Cuisine for eight years. Her recipe this week is for a pasture-raised 4505 Meats lamb burger with cherry tomato salsa over mashed potatoes with a mixed greens salad. All the produce included in this recipe is local and organic, sourced from Happy Boy Farms, Winters Fruit Tree, Twin Girls Farm, and Blue House Farm. Plus, if you like a little something sweet after your dinner, add an artisan 70% Madagascar dark chocolate bar from Dandelion Chocolate in with your order.
