Eggs, Pottery and Artist Opportunities

Featured Treats – Fresh Tomatero Eggs and Local Arizmendi Breads

This week Arizmendi Bakery will be joining us with their savory and sweet concoctions, as well as Tomatero Farm, who will be bringing their pasture-raised eggs that are firm, bright and delicious. Straight from the famer, “our eggs are so fresh they could have been produced less than 24 hours from when you purchase them!”

Handmade Pottery

Local Artisan, Jeffrey May, makes one-of-a-kind pieces of pottery as Smokin’ Pottery, “individually hand crafted to provide the best quality possible.” He will be selling his fire glazed pieces this week, keep an eye out and snag something that supports local artists and will last much longer than machine made.

For Your Entertainment

We are committed to providing quality community arts and music programming, i.e. having fun!! If you or an artist you know is interested in showcasing talents with us, please write our arts co-ordinator Jean@missioncommunitymarket.org. We are especially looking to start doing bigger monthly events, so please stay tuned and keep us in the loop if you have ideas! Thankq!

Amate Mission by Jet Martinez, jetromartinez.com

As some of you already know, Mission Community Market supports an array of local arts and music.

We are partnering with various muralist organizations, to help beautify the market location and showcase emerging and established artists.

Upcoming mural projects include a new youth mural to be installed with the help of artist Chris Treggiari. Another mural is planned, pending funding, for this summer. Stay tuned!

San Francisco’s StreetSmARTs program supported the Amate Mission mural, painted on the Mission Market wall and we are very grateful for their support. StreetsSmARTs is a collaboration between the San Francisco Arts Commission (SFAC) and the Department of Public Works (DPW) that aims to restore San Francisco’s stature as a recognized, international destination for mural art. MCM looks forward to working with StreetSmARTs on future murals. If you’d like to support a mural or improvements to the streetscape (e.g. planters, fences, and trash areas), you can support MCM here.
